• Reorganise and strengthen institutional capacity of WUAs for more effective organisation
• Develop and implement joint SAWR–WUA irrigation system management plans, including water delivery scheduling and O&M financing
• Strengthen capacity of SAWR representatives and WUAs on effective and resilient irrigation system management
• Develop and implement WUA-specific and genderresponsive agriculture and field-level water management plans, including irrigation scheduling, cropping patterns, irrigation agronomy and cultural practices
• Capacity building for farmers and community members, including women, through provision of training, establishment of comparative field trials and organisation of farmer field days
